Also, hands down one of the best senior placement agent I worked with in the industry.
Johnell really went above and beyond. Not just for the family, but for the community as well. Making the process as smooth as possible.

We are so grateful for Kayevon Serna and all of her help in finding the right care home for our aunt. We were completely overwhelmed and honestly had no idea where to even start. There was so much about senior living and the different care options that we didn’t know, and Kaye took the time to educate us and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand.

What impressed our family the most was how quickly she made everything happen. In less than a week, Kayevon helped us find the right care home, coordinated tours, and even helped coordinate all of the necessary paperwork needed for the move. She stayed on top of every detail and kept us informed throughout the entire process.

She truly made what could have been an incredibly stressful situation feel manageable. Our family was so impressed with her knowledge, responsiveness, and how much she genuinely cared about finding the right place for our aunt.

We needed to find a safe placement for my mom on extremely short notice.Tanvi, our consultant at Neighborly Senior Placement, is exceptional.

The circumstances were urgent. Based on earlier discharge experiences, we knew my mom could not return home safely, even with a 24 hour aide. We received 20 hours’ notice that she would be discharged without a rehabilitation or skilled nursing placement, leaving us responsible for substantial hospital costs while trying to find a safe alternative. Communication with the hospital was difficult, and Tanvi followed up persistently to obtain the information and referrals we needed from the care team.

Tanvi pulled out all the stops. She contacted facilities, took on tasks that otherwise would have fallen to me, followed up persistently with the hospital, investing many hours and an extraordinary amount of energy to help us. Her knowledge of local options, including facilities where Neighborly has seen good outcomes, was extremely helpful.

Her seasoned judgment was especially valuable in assessing my mom’s particular needs and determining which settings might be the best fit. Because Tanvi has worked with so many senior care facilities, she was able to interpret the responses we were receiving from different centers and explain how the application process was likely to unfold. That experience was invaluable.

Tanvi found a safe and pleasant placement with a month to month arrangement while we search for a permanent solution. This likely saved us tens of thousands of dollars compared with a skilled nursing facility, which also would not have been as comfortable for my mom.

Without Tanvi’s help, my mom would have remained in the hospital longer, probably would have ended up in a skilled nursing facility, and I would have spent many additional hours trying to navigate the process myself.

Tanvi even braved rush hour traffic to meet me halfway so that I could complete the paperwork as my mom’s representative in time to have her moved that same day.

My elderly mother was recently in a bad car accident and we found ourselves immediately in a situation where she would need to be placed in assisted living for a respite stay asap after her release from the skilled nursing facility. Johnell from Neighborly was recommended to me by a good friend who recently had a great experience with Johnell helping her move her father from Michigan to memory care in Sonoma. My friend called Johnell "a legit angel" and I couldn't agree more! Even though she was on vacation at the time, she jumped into action to get appointments set up quickly and valuable information in my hands asap. Within a week we had a plan in place. Through the whole process of search and placement and beyond Johnell was there with a great attitude and a helping hand. This is a service everyone should know about. Neighborly helped me to find the right facility for my dad’s needs. I toured multiple facilities both assisted and memory care sides accompanied by Kayevon. She listened to our needs and wants, she helped me to ask the proper questions and ultimately find the facility that I felt the most comfortable with which had the services and care for a smooth transition for my dad. The search for a facility to meet your loved ones needs can be very overwhelming but from the start I knew that Neighborly cared about helping my dad and I to find the best fit for him

For anyone embarking on finding a senior home for a loved one we highly recommend Kayevon Serna at Neighborly Senior Placement. There are just too many places available & too many unknowns to research them all on your own. So, Kayevon helped us tremendously from our first phone conversation to signing my dad into a nice facility. She was there every step of the way. She narrowed down options that were a good fit for our dad and even answered questions for us after his placement. You will not regret working with Kayevon. It will make your life so much easier! Johnell was a lifesaver!  I am so grateful for Johnell and all of her support (emotional too!) and years of experience. She did all the legwork, had the patience of a saint and walked me through each scenario and helped me come up with the best living situation for my mom's needs. She went above and beyond, from coordinating and participating in a required doctor's appointment with my mom that was needed before the move, to the logistics of the move, to actually helping move my mom while I was out of town. Honestly, she did so much more...  She was beyond caring and supportive, really got to know my mom and understood all her needs. I am so happy that my mom is in the right place! Johnell and Neighborly were everything I needed at the time I needed help most. My father had been in my sole care and needed more than I could provide, but with a limited income and psychological challenges on top of dementia, placement was difficult. Johnell was tireless in helping get him placed, and even while other placement coordinators were involved, she continued answering my questions and helping me vet options. Johnell Davidson was extremely helpful in our search for an assisted living community for my husband. She was patient and supportive as we struggled to define our priorities  and then gently defined them for us. She guided us through the complicated choices, procedures, visits to optimal facilities, and paper work- medical and financial- to secure the apartment within the community we chose. She was helpful during the move-in, and then when problems arose with the administration she continued to assist us in resolving the problems.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! I cannot recommend Johnell Davidson highly enough. She supported my dad and me through two significant transitions — first helping us explore options when we began thinking about his future, and then this year when we were ready to move quickly and get him into assisted living closer to me.

Johnell took the time to really understand what mattered to both of us — my dad's priorities and comfort, and practical things like making sure the facilities we looked at were within 20-30 minutes of me so I could visit him regularly. He was moving from Santa Barbara area up to the Bay Area and hadn't moved in over 25 years, so this was a big deal for him. She was calm, organized, and on top of every detail from start to finish.

What stood out most was how far she went beyond the basics. She coordinated directly with my dad's primary care doctor to schedule his required appointment before move-in — something she offered to do on our behalf. After my dad settled in, she visited him in his new apartment and brought him a pothos plant. That kind of warmth and follow-through is rare.

I couldn't be happier with the choice of Johnelle Davidson to help me assist my friend with her ailing husband. The assisted living place was no longer a good fit for him and Johnelle with so much kindness helped his wife find a wonderful little board care place with good people and what made me happy too it had a door that looked out into a garden. She was with us every step of the way sharing different places until the right place was found and assisted in the move. It was a good fit. I am so grateful for her help and highly recommend her. Johnell Davidson, at Neighborly Senior Placement, helped me place my dad in a wonderful care home in Windsor, California. I had no idea where to start. My mom had passed and my dad needed round the clock care; I was so lost I didn't know what to do or where to even start. Johnell stepped in and held my hand during the whole process. She was caring, compassionate, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable regarding the entire process. From start to finish she helped to place my dad in a loving and compassionate care home in less than 30 days. I can't say enough good things about Neighborly Senior Placement and specifically Johnell! I would give her 100 stars if I could.
