The Evening

A Beautiful San Francisco Evening, Made Warmer by Good Company

A beautiful San Francisco evening, a stunning setting, and a community coming together for a cause close to our hearts.

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, Neighborly Senior Placement hosted our Yoga in the Park fundraiser at the Main Parade Lawn in San Francisco’s Presidio, bringing together families, friends, colleagues, and local healthcare and senior living professionals to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association’s 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Under a crisp San Francisco sky, our hearts were warm as we gathered in support of a cause that affects so many families in our community. For 60 minutes, we stepped away from our busy lives to move, breathe, connect, and contribute to something much bigger than ourselves.

A Special Thank You to True Balance Yoga with Devon

A heartfelt thank you to Devon Kessler of True Balance Yoga with Devon, who generously led our group through a wonderful 60-minute outdoor yoga session. Devon created a welcoming and supportive experience for everyone who joined us, reminding us of the importance of slowing down, being present, and caring for our own well-being.

Why It Matters

Why Alzheimer’s Awareness Matters to Neighborly Senior Placement

At Neighborly Senior Placement, Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia are more than topics we discuss professionally. They are conditions that impact the lives of the families we serve every day.

As local senior living advisors serving San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, our team works closely with older adults and their families as they navigate memory loss, changing care needs, and difficult decisions about assisted living, memory care, and long-term support.

We see firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll that Alzheimer’s disease can have on individuals and their loved ones. We also see the extraordinary dedication of spouses, adult children, family caregivers, and healthcare professionals who provide support along the way.

Our commitment to families extends beyond helping them find the right senior living community. We believe in supporting Alzheimer’s awareness, advancing dementia education, connecting families with resources, and contributing to organizations working toward better treatments and ultimately a cure.

Events like Yoga in the Park are a small but meaningful way for us to give back to the community we are so fortunate to serve.

Thank You All

Thank You to Everyone Who Joined Us

To the families, friends, community partners, and senior care professionals who came out to support our fundraiser, thank you!

Whether you participated in yoga, donated to our Walk to End Alzheimer’s team, or helped spread the word, your support means so much to us.

We are especially grateful for the relationships we’ve built throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Seeing people come together outside of their everyday professional and personal responsibilities to support a shared cause reminds us how powerful our community can be.

The yoga session may have lasted just 60 minutes, but the purpose behind our gathering extends far beyond that evening.
