We give back to support our community and others.

Because of the extraordinary success we’ve enjoyed to date, as well as our close connections to the communities we serve, we make regular donations to local and global non-profits that are improving the lives of seniors in the San Francisco Bay Area. We also attend events at senior living communities and participate in charitable fundraisers.

Here are two examples of how we’re giving back.

Rotary: “The Human Brain –– A Holistic Approach to Brain Health”
With the Rotary Club of South San Francisco, we’re proud to be one of the lead sponsors for this event that will be held at the Grand Bay Hotel in San Mateo on May 10, 2024. We strongly believe in the importance of maintaining the mental health of our community members, especially people affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. This event expects up to 500 attendees, including students, nurses, social workers, community leaders, and the general public.

Philos Health: Building Sustainable Health Care in The Philippines
Neighborly Senior Placement is also supporting benevolent health care in other parts of the world. For the past 15 years, Philos Health has provided treatment to more than 1,800 people with diabetes and hypertension; 80% of them are over the age of 60. These treatments consist of diagnoses, an ongoing supply of medicine free of charge, and follow-up.

“On behalf of Philos Health, I would like to express our appreciation for your support of our work in the Philippines. Your donation in 2023 makes a significant impact on our ability to provide critically needed medical, nutrition, and dental services to the people of Bohol. We have resumed in-person volunteer visits to Jagna and the need is even greater with the toll of the pandemic still impacting the daily lives of the people. We have doctors, nurses, and dentists committed to trips in February, July, and October 2024. Your support makes our work possible.”
