Neighborly Senior Placement provides direction, support and education, giving you confidence in your decision. On our initial phone conversation, we’ll discuss your specific care needs, determine what geographical locations you’d like to be in, what’s most important to you when looking for a senior living community, and review the various ways you can pay for senior living. Based on our conversation and any additional information obtained, I will be able to connect you with specific local senior communities that best suit your needs. I’ll arrange for tours of the communities that you’re most interested in, and personally introduce you to their teams. Because I’ve worked with virtually all of the senior living communities in the Bay Area, I can leverage my personal relationships with each of them. Once we’ve found the right community, I’ll assist you with facilitating the move-in process, and be with you every step along the way. Give us a call at (510) 301-7099.

Hi, my name is Anita Varelas, Founder of Neighborly Senior Placement. Senior living is my calling. I was lucky to have grown up around not only my grandparents, but also my great grandparents. My parents led by example in honoring the seniors who lived around us. My father would adopt neighborhood seniors into our family and spend time working on their homes, cleaning, and listening to stories of their lives. This was the genesis of the deep connection that I have today with contemporaries of my grandparents. My journey began with a part-time job as a dining room waitress for an assisted living community at the age of 15. As a young waitress, I watched the senior living sales team and volunteered my time to learn everything that I could from them. This led to increasingly responsible roles in all areas of operations and sales. Eventually, I was promoted to Sales Director. Since then, I’ve held various sales roles, including Regional Sales Director for senior living management companies in California, Oklahoma, and Texas. Along the way, I received my Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) license to operate as a senior living administrator and my certification in Gerontology and dementia care. After 20+ years serving the senior living industry, I am proud to have helped over 1,000 older Bay Area residents find their new homes. Fulfilling A Dream. From the very early days of my career, I realized that most referral businesses do a less than thorough service of placing seniors in their new Bay Area homes. That’s why I founded Neighborly Senior Placement, which is my dream come true. With my wealth of knowledge, industry experience, and vast network of senior living community colleagues, I am in a unique position to help seniors and their families, regardless of their financial backgrounds, to find the Bay Area senior living communities that best suit their wants and needs.
